Pixion joins Pangea and the journey begins

It seems like only yesterday that Pixion was founded with a clear goal in mind — create a small company which only has the best of the best, and is able to overcome any obstacle. False modesty aside, we really managed to live up to the dream and now, two years later, we have finally received our recognition as part of the global top 7%.

Why Pangea?

There is always a traditional way of doing things, and building company’s reputation is no different. Let everyone know you exist, post a blog post every so often, try to to be at the right place at the right time and, if you’re lucky, you’re one of the talking points in the town. Surely, there must be a better way, right? Turns out there is — a straightforward, not-relying-on-luck way to join a community of top notch companies in IT sector — Pangea.

How does that work exactly?

Quite simple, really. Pangea takes on the burden of verifying the information about one company and assigns them with a score which ultimately represents how high up the ladder you are. There’s a threshold, though, so not everyone can make it.

The entire process is done through multiple phases, and each of them focuses on a different thing — from your financials and technical expertise all the way to your social exposure. Turns out, there are a lot of things we weren’t even paying attention to, but are just as important as having the top talent.

This gave us a great opportunity to start thinking about process, getting our values, code reviews and mindsets all synced up before we were finally left with a better Pixion then it was yesterday.

Getting interesting insights

It’s not always easy to get honest feedback from employees or clients, however, Pangea figured out a way to extract crucial information and present it in a way that any engineer can appreciate — with a score. We found our pitfalls and immediately started to work on them, hoping for an even better result next time the evaluation comes around.

The results? We’ll it’s a good starting point — with 9.3/10 we’ve proven to ourselves what we knew all along — that we belong to the top global 7%, but we’re absolutely not stopping there. As boastful as it sounds, not aiming for a perfect 10/10 in all areas with this kind of team that we have gathered would be a waste.

Conclusion

With fresh new wind in our sails and extreme excitement to be part of Pangea, our focus has never been clearer. Not only have we proven ourselves, but are equally as impressed with how Pangea takes care of their part. At this point it’s pretty obvious why clients come to Pangea seeking trustworthy companies, and we, for one, are glad to be listed among them.
